How Having a Supportive Community Can Take You Further in Life & Business By Fideliz Cruz
Hello Fellow Kingdom Women!
Our Community focus this month is "Community Stewardship" & I'm excited to unpack this months focus with you all! Here's our Scripture Focus:
"And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching." Hebrews 10:24-25
Last night we had our KWE Facebook LIVE and I shared how God has created us for community and the importance of cultivating and stewarding the relationships that God has gifted us with.
We serve a God that is intentional and purposeful and so we know that the people we connects us with is not by change or by coincidence but is because of a purpose.
Your family, your circle of friends, your connect group, your church, your workmates, your fellow students... all of the little communities that you belong in or part of has been created by God and they are His gift to you.
Before we go on ahead and talk about community, let's remember that we didn’t come up with this idea. Jesus is our example here. Jesus modelled community in his own life. He had disciples and He was always surrounding himself with his community. He also sent out His disciples 2 by 2! - He placed a big importance on partnership and relationships.
God designed for us to be in community.

Another example is in ACTS: Acts 2:42-47
They devoted themselves to the apostle teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer, all the believers were together and had everything in common. They sold property and possessions to give yo anyone who was in need. Everyday they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favour of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved”
God Designed us to be in community because we need each other for:
Support
“Carry each other’s burdens and in this, fulfilling the law of Christ” Galatians 6:2
Encouragement
"And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another and all the more as you see the Day approaching." Hebrews 10:24-25
Sharpening & Accountability
“As iron sharpens iron, one man sharpens another” Proverbs 27:17
We need true friends that will share what we need to hear and challenge/confront us.
These are true friends! + accountability. Sharing your struggles and battle with you.
Find your friends that will sharpen you. Find your tribe!
Company, Joy & Communion
"Behold, how good and pleasant it is when brothers dwell in unity! It is like the precious oil on the head, running down on the beard, on the beard of Aaron, running down on the collar of his robes! It is like the dew of Hermon, which falls on the mountains of Zion! For there the Lord has commanded the blessing, life forevermore." – Psalm 133 ESV
There's so much joy in being with your fellow faith filled sisters!
Coming together and celebrating all that God has done in your life. And God loves this! God loves seeing His children coming together in unity and enjoying each others presence. In this He commands a blessing.
There is power and blessing over a community that is united for God. We can go further when we come together in unity and of support of one another
COMMUNITY.
COMM - UNITY.
Clear Communication - "speaking the same language"
Unified in love, in HIM in vision.
One Vision as oppose to di-vision.
There is power in UNITY.
