Confidence as an Entrepreneur can be difficult to achieve because most of the time, Entrepreneurs are paving a pathway that has not yet been traveled. It can be stressful to step out of your comfort zone to build something from the ground up.
Kingdom-minded Entrepreneurs have an advantage, because we aren’t just building something for ourselves, we are creating something by God’s design and purpose for us.
Ephesians 2:10 says, “For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared ahead of time for us to do.” Confidence in your journey as a Kingdom-minded Entrepreneur comes from releasing control to God.
Stressful situations can cause us to cling to control, because when we are stressed about outcomes, we try to hold tight to numbers, data, and ways to make our plans work out. Proverbs 16:9 says, “A person’s heart plans his way, but the LORD determines his steps.”
When we stress about what could go wrong in our business, it is an indication that we are not trusting God with our business.
Stress and anxiety are feelings that can indicate that it is time to stop and surrender to God in the area we are stressed about. As we surrender our business to God, it will free up our mind from worry and anxiety which in turn, will allow for a clearer mind.
Surrender control doesn’t mean we don’t take action. Instead it means, we work hard and try things, but we trust the outcomes to Him.
Colossians 3:23-24 says, “Whatever you do, do it from the heart, as something done for the Lord and not for people, knowing that you will receive the reward of an inheritance from the Lord. You serve the Lord Christ.”
Work with your whole heart in it, and then surrender the outcome.
If God has called you to this work, He will provide in this work. Surrender Control to Him, and walk confidently as you work towards your business goals confidently.
